Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is a hands on treatment that uses various movements, strokes, stretches and pressures on muscles to affect the release of body tension and soothe nerves, helping our bodies to heal themselves.

It is a holistic treatment that works on more than just the physical aspect, reviving, nurturing and de-stressing our minds and spirits too. Therapeutic massage is a preventative treatment, i.e. it can help maintain a state of well being by helping us to relax physically and mentally, thus avoiding stress related problems.

Stress Management / Counselling

The stresses of modern day society are thought to play a part in many disease processes. These can be controlled by counseling It is not surprising that this therapy is becoming increasingly popular in a professional, pleasant and above all, confidential environment.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine has a unique and profound theoretical system differing from Western medicines.

It emphasises the systemic analysis of all the symptoms and experiences of the patient while taking into account the age, physical habits and emotional traits and all other aspects of the individual as a whole in order to evaluate the cause of the disease. It consists mainly of acupuncture and herbal medicines.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils therapeutically. Essential oils are either absorbed through your skin using massage or through a cream, lotion or compress to which they have been added.

It's not known exactly how aromatherapy works - in particular, whether the massage or the smell (or both) has an effect. When you inhale essential oils, this stimulates your olfactory system - the part of the brain connected to smell. A signal is transferred to your brain's limbic system that controls emotions and stores and retrieves learned memories. This triggers chemicals to be released which have different effects, causing you to feel relaxed or stimulated. In addition, the gentle massage often used to apply the diluted oils to your skin is likely to have a relaxing effect.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EMT)

Emotional Freedom Technique

The emotional freedom technique is an amazing acupressure point 'tapping tool'.

Tapping can be a friend for life which will support us whether we are coping with emotional stress, phobia, trauma, pain, illness, a desperate need for chocolate, or an inability to see the bright side of life. It can set us on the path to self-realisation, whether we know it or not.
